Carolina Beach Fishing Reports

We have had execellent fall fishing, water temp is down in the 70s and the fish are moving.  We’ve had nice catches this past weekend of Speckled Trout, big Blues and citation Flounders.  The Flounder bite is on with some of these fish ranging from 2.5 to over 5 lbs this past week.  Live bait has been the choice of baits, fished on a Carolina Rig.   Check out the pictures below from this past weekends fishing trip.

The fishing has taken off, water temp is down in the 70s and the fish are moving.  We’ve had nice catches of Red Fish, big Blues, huge Sharks and starting to see some really nice Speckled Trout.  The Flounder bite is on with some of these fish ranging from 2.5 to 9.5 lbs this past week.  Now that we have some nice Finger Mullet around we should start seeing some good numbers and sizes of these fish.  Right off shore about 2 miles we have been catching Spanish Mackerel in the 3 and 4 pound range, they have been a blast to sight cast to.  Fall fishing is here and the fishing will only get better.  Check out this past weeks citation flounders caught.

Regardless of what you might think these citations are not like getting a ticket, they are a good thing.  The State of North Carolina sets citation limits and if your fish meets the requirements or better the state will send you a certificate for an exceptional catch with your name, type of fish and weight or length.  Check out the citation below.
