Carolina Beach Fishing Reports

Out of 19 flounder caught today we ended the day with a total of 9 nice size Flounder ranging from 2.5 to 4.5 pounds.  When David called me and said he only wanted to target these fish I knew the pressure would be on, what I didn’t know was that they were here for a family reunion and wanted to have a fish fry for 18 people.  I say they got it!  What a great bunch of guys, I hope to see them again.

August is here and the fishing is on with nice catches of Flounder and Red Drum.  Right off shore we’ve being catching Spanish and King Mackerel and huge sharks.  These sharks have been ranging from 50 to 100 plus pounds.  So book your trip now!

Kerel J Fryar of Atlanta, GA; Greg Franklin of Dallas, TX; and Chris Bennett of Charlotte, NC with a nice catch of Flounder caught using live Finger Mullet fished on Carolina Rigs in the ICW.  You would not have known that these guys had never flounder fished before, with a few tips they were able to catch a total of 8 nice size fish ranging from 2-4.5 lbs.  These guys had real patience and a good time!
