Virginia Mullet is still biting well around the Bald Head Island area, fresh shrimp not frozen on a two drop bottom rig works well. Also some really nice Speckled Trout have been caught the past couple of days. In the Cape Fear River around the islands live shrimp and new penny DOA are working great. The Red Drum are also starting to bite well around the docks of the ICW anywhere from Carolina Beach to Wrightsville Beach. We are starting to see a few flounder and it is only going to get better.
Near Shore – Bluefish, Bonito and some really nice Spanish have showed up so its time to start jigging Sting Silvers Gottcha Plugs. It seems that the fish are getting hungry so whatever you have in that tackle box might work.
