Hello everyone, I’m still here. Sorry for the lack of reports, I’ve been busy with charters and tracking down the fish.
Even though fishing started out a little slow this year things are starting to change now that bait is everywhere. Inshore fishing has been good this past week with nice flounder, redfish and trout. We still can’t keep any speckled trout till June 15th due to the winter weather we had. Down south around the Southport and bay area we’re catching whiting, big croakers, spot’s, flounder, black drum and red fish. Our inlet’s have also been producing some nice flounder, bluefish and speckled trout while drift fishing. Offshore we are seeing good numbers of spanish mackerel while trolling or sight casting when they are on top. There’s also been reports of cobia being caught in the 5-10 mile range. Our nearby reef’s are producing flounder, grey trout, black seabass and over slot red fish along with the annoying sharks.
Summer is here and fishing is only going to get better! Now that school is fixing to let out June is booking fast so call today for your day on the water.
